The 62nd Annual Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships Launches with a Bang!

The 62nd Annual Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships kicked off in style, setting the tone for an incredible week of surf, sun, and fun. The Coastal Edge presents The Wes Laine Supergrom, featuring Quiksilver and Roxy, was the perfect way to start the event.

Virginia Beach did not disappoint, delivering head-high waves that challenged the young surfers to bring their A-game. The groms rose to the occasion, showcasing their skills and leaving the crowd in awe.

Adding to the excitement, Virginia Beach's very own Pro, Michael Dunphy, made a special appearance. The kids were thrilled as he took time to sign autographs, creating unforgettable memories for the young surf enthusiasts.

With the action just getting started, there's so much more to come this week at the worlds longest-running surf contest. Stay tuned and don’t miss a moment of the excitement!

Day 2 of the 62nd Annual Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships was all about preparation. With no heats on the schedule, surfers seized the opportunity to dial in their boards, sharpen their strategies, and get in the right mindset for the days ahead.

As we gear up for the next day of surfing, excitement is building for what’s to come. The 62nd Annual Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships is set to deliver more thrilling performances, and today’s preparation will undoubtedly pay off in the days ahead. Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships Day 3: Grand Legends (60+) and Legends (40+) Bring Experience and Style to the Lineup

Day 3 of the Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championships (ECSC) will be remembered for the outstanding performances of the Grand Legends, surfers aged 60 and above, who brought pure stoke and skill to the water. The highlight of the day came from Bobby Holland, who dominated the Grand Legends Longboard division with a spectacular win.

As the day progressed, the waves began to improve, offering the perfect conditions for the final heats. Holland capitalized on the building swell, delivering a series of impressive rides that secured his top spot. His victory wasn't just about skill—it was a testament to the enduring passion and style that define the Grand Legends.

Day 3 of the Coastal Edge ECSC was not just about competition; it was a celebration of the surfing lifestyle that these legends have lived and breathed for so many years. With the Grand Legends and Legends leading the way, it was a day that captured the true spirit of East Coast surfing and left everyone eagerly anticipating what’s to come.

Day 4 Thrills: Michael Dunphy Shines and Coastal Edge Spam Skate Jam Wraps Up an Action-Packed Night!

Day 4 of the Coastal Edge ECSC saw fierce competition as surfers from across North America vied for crucial points in the WSL Qualifying Series (QS). Virginia Beach's own Michael Dunphy, a former champion, made waves with a commanding heat win, reinforcing his status as a local favorite in the Challenger Series race. As the day concluded, the Coastal Edge Spam Skate Jam capped off the evening with an impressive display of skating talent. With BMX and more action still to come, the 62nd Annual Coastal Edge ECSC is far from over. Stay tuned for more excitement!
